Anthony San Miguel Rizzo, 70, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, surrounded by his family and friends in South San Francisco.
Anthony was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Jan. 28, 1948. After graduating from Central Catholic High School, he and his family moved to San Francisco to join his grandmother and uncles. He started his own tax preparation business which he had for more 40 years.
Anthony was a kind and generous person who cared deeply about his family and friends. He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan and season ticket holder.
He is survived by his wife Mayra Milian-Rizzo, daughter Sarah A. Funes, son Jorge E. Contreras, brother Robert Garcia, nephew Matthew Garcia, aunt Maria Elena San Miguel, his cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Chapel of the Highlands, Millbrae, Sunday, Sept. 23, followed by 7 p.m. vigil service. The funeral mass is at St. Veronica’s Church, South San Francisco, 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma at 11:30 a.m. Donations in his name may be made to the American Cancer Society.
