Daniel Gilchrist
The San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in finding a missing young man who disappeared on the night of Dec. 18.
Sheriff’s officials said Daniel Gilchrist, 19, went missing from his father’s home in Moss Beach around 11 p.m. last Tuesday after telling his dad he was going to spend time with a friend in Pacifica.
According to sheriff’s officials, Gilchrist never arrived in Pacifica, left his vehicle at his father’s house and is assumed to have walked away from his dad’s home.
Gilchrist’s cellphone has been turned off, sheriff’s officials said, and he hasn’t been heard from since that night. He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall.
