SFO is planning overnight closures from April 15 to May 4 on San Bruno Avenue as part of its project to extend the AirTrain light rail system to long-term parking, officials announced this week.
San Bruno Avenue between Highway 101 and the intersection with South Airport Boulevard/North McDonnell Road will be closed overnight from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions, according to SFO.
Drivers of automobiles and light trucks are encouraged to use the SFO Terminal interchange from Highway 101 to enter and exit the airport. Drivers of large vehicles and tractor-trailers will be required to use the Millbrae Avenue interchange from Highway 101, or South Airport Boulevard interchange with Interstate 380. The construction project is expected to be completed in early 2020.
