Adam Loraine
San Mateo Mayor Adam Loraine kicked off his campaign for reelection to represent District 5 on the San Mateo City Council in November 2026.
He has served on the City Council since December 2022, and he has served as mayor since December 2025. Also running for District 5 is Dana Sahae Yates.
In District 2, former mayor and current councilmember Rob Newsom Jr. is running against Planning Commissioner Seema Patel. The seat for District 1, currently represented by Lisa Diaz Nash, is also up for reelection.
