San Mateo County Sheriff Christina Corpus announced a new therapy dog program: a community outreach initiative to bring comfort to people in crisis and help foster positive interactions between the Sheriff’s Office and the community.
Ben, a goldendoodle, is the newest Sheriff’s Office therapy dog. Ben’s sweet demeanor and ability to share unconditional comfort will help decrease symptoms of anxiety and improve the mood of those in crisis, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
