A Redwood City man pleaded no contest to felony grand theft for stealing a $1,900 wedding dress off a Redwood City resident’s front porch, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
The man, Henry Fonseca, 65, was sentenced to 60 days in county jail, although he’ll be eligible to apply for the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office work program as an alternative to incarceration.
Fonseca allegedly stole two other packages from a home on the 800 block of Adams Street. He was identified after the Redwood City Police Department released an image from surveillance camera footage to their social media and asked for anyone with information to contact the department.
The wedding dress was found abandoned in Redwood City and returned to the owner, Wagstaffe said, although other items from the packages have not been located.
