San Mateo County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking for three men in a blue BMW X3 SUV who are suspected in a robbery and carjacking outside a Wells Fargo Bank ATM in Half Moon Bay Friday night.
According to Detective Rosemerry Blankswade, a man was withdrawing cash from an ATM at Wells Fargo on 132 San Mateo Road in Half Moon Bay around 8 p.m. when a black man brandishing a handgun came up to him and demanded cash and the keys to his BMW. The victim complied, and saw two other men in his car as it peeled out, Blankswade said.
The BMW was pursued across the San Mateo-Hayward Bridge, but officers ultimately lost sight of the car as it entered the city streets of Hayward, Blankswade said.
