A 55-year-old man was found dead inside a commercial building on the 800 block of Hurlingame Avenue in the North Fair Oaks neighborhood of unincorporated San Mateo County last Wednesday morning and prompted a haz-mat response because of chemicals found inside, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The body was discovered at about 7:35 a.m. The building houses chemicals related to metal manufacturing and there was a potential for a hazard so the team was called. The Haz-Mat team determined the chemicals were contained within the building and licensed to be in the business and not a threat, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
