A South San Francisco man arrested last week on suspicion of driving under the influence during a collision that injured two people in the other vehicle is also suspected of several other hit-and-run collisions, police said Tuesday.
Julian Guzman, 63, was allegedly responsible for a collision at Oyster Point and Airport boulevards at 8:09 p.m. on Sept. 26.
Investigators believe he was also involved in hit-and-runs on the 300 block of Maple Avenue, the 300 block of Miller Avenue and the 400 block of Hemlock Avenue, where he allegedly drove toward the owner of another vehicle on purpose, forcing the victim to jump out of the way.
Guzman performed poorly on a series of field sobriety tests, and was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and DUI that caused injuries.
Anyone with additional information about the case is asked to call the South San Francisco Police Department at (650) 877-8900 or an anonymous tip line at (650) 952-2244.
