• The San Mateo County Transit District’s Board of Directors swore in four members Wednesday. Current directors Zoe Kersteen-Tucker, Karyl Matsumoto and Adrienne Tissier were reappointed to serve an additional four-year-term. Belmont Councilman Charles Stone was sworn in as a new director. The board also elected Shirley Harris to serve as board chair and Kersteen-Tucker as vice chair for 2015.
• New San Mateo County Harbor District commissioners Tom Mattusch and Nicole David were sworn in Tuesday and attended their first meeting Wednesday. Mattusch replaced former commissioner Will Holsinger and David replaced former 18-year-commissioner Jim Tucker. Robert Bernardo successfully ran for re-election Nov. 3 and remains on the district’s board of commissioners.

• The South San Francisco Unified School District Board of Trustees will look at the feasibility of expanding Martin Elementary School at a special meeting Thursday, Jan. 8. The reason for the board’s examination is a potential for increased enrollment at the school due to proposed new development in its attendance area. Along with the Martin analysis, the board members also will discuss Measure J construction budgets. The meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. in the district boardroom, 398 B St. in South San Francisco.
