· The Burlingame City Council approved a union employee contract at a special meeting Friday. The two-year contract covers 100 employees from the city's administration, planning, engineering, maintenance, Public Works, Parks and Recreation and other departments, said Bob Bell, the city's human relations director.
Education
· The Burlingame School District is expected to discuss reducing its classified services and discuss the foreign language program at Burlingame Intermediate School at a meeting 6 p.m., July 13 at 1825 Trousdale Drive.
· The San Bruno Park School District is expected to discuss a possible parcel tax initiative and its dispute with the San Mateo County Special Education Local Plan Agency at its meeting Wednesday. In closed session it will also discuss its district surplus site at 2101 Sneath Lane. The meeting will be at 7 p.m., July 13 at 500 Acacia Ave. in San Bruno.
· The San Mateo County Community College District will discuss a possible bond measure to pay for school buildings on Wednesday. It will also tour the College of San Mateo's construction projects and meet with the San Mateo City Council. The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m., July 13, at 3401 CSM Drive in San Mateo.
