• State Sen. Joe Simitian, D-Palo Alto, announced he will hold "sidewalk office hours” in six local communities in June. Simitian invites community members to visit and voice their questions and concerns about state legislative issues.
The upcoming sidewalk office hours will take place in Palo Alto, Menlo Park, San Carlos, Cupertino, San Jose’s Willow Glen neighborhood and Campbell. Simitian holds his sidewalk office hours at local farmers’ markets. All questions are welcome, and no appointment is required.
Simitian will host his sidewalk office hours at the following times and local locations:
Saturday, June 5, 10 a.m. to noon, Palo Alto Farmers’ Market. Behind the downtown post office, at Hamilton and Gilman avenues; Sunday, June 6, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Menlo Park Farmers’ Market, Chestnut Street between Santa Cruz and Menlo avenues; Thursday, June 10, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Hot Harvest Nights, San Carlos Farmers’ Market, downtown, on the 700 block of Laurel Street.
