A Redwood City man has been charged with residential burglary for allegedly attempting to steal costume jewelry from an elderly woman’s home, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
The man, 36-year-old Miguel Aguilar Sarabia, allegedly ransacked drawers in a Redwood City home Jan. 17, dropping a backpack with wire cutters and a crowbar, as well as costume jewelry from the house, while fleeing. He was caught after fleeing, and a search of his apartment allegedly found property linked to two other residential burglaries, Wagstaffe said.
He was been charged with felony residential burglary, resisting arrest and possession of burglary tools.
