Contracts for modular toilets, bleacher modifications and landscape services will go before the San Mateo Union High School District Board of Trustees tonight.
Modular bathrooms will be built at all six high schools in the district for an estimated $1.176,000. The board will vote to go to bid for the supply and installation of the buildings with concrete slab foundations, cement plaster exteriors, metal roofs and vandal resistant fixtures at each of the six sites. The district anticipates to award the contract on May 15 with construction taking place over the summer.
The board will vote on a $437,809 contract with Lemanski & Rockwell Architects for architectural design of the modular bathrooms and bleacher modifications.
Project costs will be covered using Measure M funds — a $298 million bond measure approved by voters in 2006.
At the same meeting, the board will consider awarding a $468,000 contract to Carducci & Associates, Inc. for landscape architectural services at Aragon, Capuchino, Hillsdale and Mills high schools. The cost will be split between Measure M and Measure D — $137.5 million bond measure approved by voters in 2000.
Lastly, the board will approve change orders for the restoration of the Burlingame High practice field.

In October, the board approved a $976,688 contract with Interstate Grading & Paving to encapsulate all potentially contaminated soil by installing synthetic turf. Plans also included soil stabilization, grading and site utilities, fencing, site concrete and the installation of the turf field.
Changes occurred raising the cost by $67,701. A majority of the cost — $25,840 — will cover the backfilling of the excavation site. The second largest cost was raising the fence height at the east boundary from 8 feet to 10 feet at a cost of $14,107.
The increase will be covered using the building fund.
The board meets 7 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at the San Mateo Adult Resource and Technology Center, 789 Poplar Ave., San Mateo.
