Gabriel Cohen and Brendan Spillane, of Menlo Park, David Scanlan and Sarah Schinasi, of HIllsborough and Carol Fornaciari, of Portola Valley, were named to the dean’s list at Lehigh University for the spring semester.

Ethan Cohen, Austin Marcus, Megan Rash, Tegan Stanbach, of Menlo Park, Daniella Kotowitz, Lindsey Pantuso and Marissa Young, of San Mateo, Maximillian McKelvy, of Portola Valley, and Madeline Milligan, of Burlingame, were named to the dean’s list at Bucknell University for the spring semester.

The South San Francisco Unified School District appointed three new administrators during a Board of Trustees meeting Thursday, May 26.

Jason Brockmeyer, formerly a principal at Jefferson High School in Daly City, was hired as the director of innovation, community outreach and special projects.

April Holland, most recently a vice principal of administration in the Jefferson Union High School District, was hired as the principal at Westborough Middle School.

Loraine Rossi De Campos, previously of the San Carlos Elementary School District, was hired as the assistant principal at South San Francisco High School.

Brian DiGiorgio, of San Carlos, won the Mike Ewers Award from the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium, which recognizes students who show exemplary enthusiasm for space research and public outreach. DiGiorgio is a junior at Carleton College.

Elizabeth Kravtchenko, Andrew Land, Ryan Tanner, Charles Thrift, of San Carlos, Kaelyn Luebke and Nicholas Finke, of San Mateo and Caroline Dahiner, of Redwood City won recognition at the state science fair.

Marcus Luebke, of Design Tech High School, Hunter Crawford-Shelmadine, of Carlmont High School, Julia E. Rathmann-Bloch, of the Nueva School and Thomas Hartman as well as Alfryd van Bruggen, of Sequoia High School, won honors in the high school competition.
