On Sept. 18 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., Family Service Agency of San Mateo County and Oracle invite the public to the 14th Annual Winners Breakfast at the Crowne Plaza Cabaña Hotel & Resort in Palo Alto. The annual event honors high school students and adults from the Peninsula who have triumphed over extreme adversity to succeed. Co-hosts Sydnie Kohara of CBS-5 TV and Don Sanchez of ABC-7 TV will present honorees with $1,000 awards during the breakfast ceremony. Comedian and KGO radio personality, Brian Copeland, will be the special guest speaker. Tickets are $50 per person; $25 for students/seniors and can be purchased by calling Maria Chavez at 403-4300, ext. 4401 or online at www.familyserviceagency.org. Corporate or Family sponsorships are also available.
