On Saturday, Dec. 13, the Caltrain Holiday Train will be reinvented as an on-board experience as it rings in the holiday season from San Jose to San Francisco and back again. Tickets will go on sale starting at noon on Thursday, Nov. 20, for both the northbound and southbound trips.

Ticket holders will be able to ride the Holiday Train for the first time, where they will enjoy a beautifully decorated interior, carols performed by Ensemble Continuo, a reading of holiday stories, arts and crafts and even a visit from Santa himself. The Holiday Train will be making a total of eight stops in each direction, serving community events like San Mateo on Ice, Hometown Holidays, the German Holiday Market, the South Bay Historical Railroad Society, and Christmas in the Park.
