The Year of the Tiger 2010 was celebrated by Rotarians, visiting Rotarians and many guests including Foster City Council Members. The delicious, multiple course meal with wine was served at the ABC Restaurant in Foster City. There were many donated raffle prizes.  The guest speaker of the evening was Eddie Wong, executive director of Angel Island Immigration Station Foundation.  Mr. Wong gave a very informative and interesting history of early immigration on Angel Island; highlighted by video of actual immigrants, who gave their personal stories of the past up to present time.

There was a surprise guest to culminate the evening festivities — Chef Martin Yan, who mesmerized the audience with his skill of chopping and slicing with his cleaver to the point of being able to see through a slice of bell pepper. Chef Yan’s culinary skill and great wit was a delightful close to the evening.
