The Pacific Athletic Club Panther swim team had a good showing at the West Bay Swim League Championships at Sequoia High. The Panthers took home seven gold, six silver and six bronze medals. In all, the Panthers had 61 team members finish in the top 16 places.
Recent Aragon High School graduate Jason Lee captured gold in the 15- to 18-year-old 50-yard backstroke with a new league-record time of 27.43. Derrick Chen was a two-time gold medalist in the 13- and 14-year-old division, taking first in the 50-yard backstoke and 50-yard breaststroke.
Rachel Rogers was first in the 50-yard backstroke in the 15- to 18-year-old division.
Doria Charlson (9- and 10-year-old division), Erika Segal (7- and 8-year-old) and Marissa Fury (6-year-old and younger) all were double medalists. Charlson and Segal took home gold and silver, while Fury had a first- and third-place finish.
