Junior outside hitter Austin Chen buzzed 12 kills to lead first-place Hillsdale (6-1 PAL Bay, 16-4 overall) to a 25-13, 25-13, 25-23 sweep at Burlingame (1-5, 9-5). Chen added eight digs, while senior Chris Feinberg totaled 10 kills and three blocks, and senior Adrian Zolotukhin recorded 33 assists. With the win, the Knights maintain a half game lead over Aragon in the PAL Bay Division standings.
Menlo-Atherton 3, San Mateo 2
M-A senior Ben Warner recorded a double-double of 24 kills and 14 digs, as the Bears (4-9 PAL Bay, 20-9) battled to a five-set win 25-13, 25-22, 18-25, 26-28, 15-9 at home over San Mateo (0-7, 4-14). It marks the 20th overall win for M-A this season. Sophomore libero Nicolas Sandoval shared the team-high of 14 digs, while adding five service aces for the Bears, and junior middle Ryan Cunningham totaled five blocks and three aces.
Westmoor 3, El Camino 0
The Rams (6-4 PAL Ocean, 14-8 overall) swept to a 25-11, 25-18, 25-13 home win over El Camino (4-6, 5-12). Nayan Aung led the way with 12 kills for Westmoor, Zach Lacamana added 11 kills, and Gordon Zhang drove the offense with 24 assists.

Aragon (6-2 PAL Bay, 27-9 overall) claimed a 25-19, 26-28, 25-17, 25-23 win at Carlmont (4-2, 19-7) in a battle for second place in the PAL Bay Division standings.
Jefferson (3-7 PAL Ocean, 3-12 overall) swept 25-10, 25-16, 25-17 at South City (0-6, 0-10).
Woodside (10-0 PAL Ocean, 12-1 overall) stayed unbeaten in Ocean Division play with a 25-17, 25-18, 25-15 sweep at Woodside (2-7, 4-16).

Burlingame 6, Woodside 1
The Panthers (10-2 PAL Bay, 13-4 overall) secured the top seed in the PAL team tournament by clinching second place in the PAL Bay Division on the final day of the regular season. Burlingame No. 2 doubles Aaron Lo and Tyler Diddy rallied back for a 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 win over Kamran Zamanian and Derek Ho to finish the doubles sweep. Woodside (2-10, 3-10) earned its only win at No. 1 singles with Owen Dimas sweeping 6-1, 6-3.
Burlingame opened the postseason in the PAL team tournament Thursday hosting Ocean Division champion Hillsdale. The other pairing in the four-team tournament was Menlo-Atherton at Carlmont. The tourney decides the PAL’s second bid to the Central Coast Section tournament. Bay Division champion Aragon earned the other CCS bid, and has a bye through the PAL team tourney.

M-A (5-7 PAL Bay, 8-11 overall) recorded a clean sweep in doubles play to win its regular-season finale. No. 1s Thomas Greenleaf and Rafa Kroes won 6-2, 6-1; No. 2s Max Weiss and Yoonan Bae won 6-0, 6-1; and No. 3s Connor Bae and Raphael Pierres won 6-0, 6-1. San Mateo (0-12, 6-12) earned wins from No. 1 single Atul Anand 6-1, 6-2; and No. 3 Vishesh Kodisvaran 6-2, 6-4.

Girls’ lacrosse
Menlo School 21, Woodside 12
Menlo senior Elia Choe converted a behind-the-back shot for a first-quarter score en route to totaling seven goals and five assists to lead the Knights (2-0 WBAL Foothill, 10-3 overall) to the home win over Woodside (0-2, 6-6). Choe added three draw controls, and connected with Hannah Bernthal to assist on one of the senior’s three goals. Marin Yamada had three goals, an assist and two saves in goal for Menlo, and sophomore Payton Lee forced four turnovers.
Aragon 9, Mercy 7
Sophomore attacker Elena Adractas scored four goals to lead Aragon (8-2 WBAL Alpine, 9-3 overall) to the home win over Mercy-Burlingame (1-7, 1-7).

Menlo-Atherton (0-3 WBAL Foothill, 10-4 overall) fell 21-2 to St. Ignatius (2-0, 12-4).
Burlingame (8-1 WBAL Skyline, 13-1 overall) took care of business with a 18-10 home win over Sacred Heart Cathedral (1-7, 2-9).
Carlmont (0-7 WBAL Skyline, 0-8 overall) fell 9-7 at home to Castilleja (4-6, 7-7).
Sequoia (2-7 PAL Skyline, 5-11 overall) was routed 20-4 at home by first-place Mitty (8-1, 10-4).
Crystal (7-3 WBAL Alpine, 7-3 overall) rolled to a 15-8 win at Priory (2-8, 2-8).

Hillsdale (7-4 PAL Ocean) swept through its No. 1 matches to claim the home win over Jefferson (0-9). No. 1 boys’ single Shaurya Khanna led the way with a 21-9, 21-12 win; No. 1 girls single Iris Wong won 21-14, 21-7; No. 1 boys’ doubles Ader Reyes and Adrian Leo won 21-17, 21-15; No. 1 girls’ doubles Jiaqi Zhang and Sharlene Yu won 21-8, 21-19; and No. 1 mixed doubles Daniel Nowak and Mary Villena won 21-9, 21-7.
Sequoia 22, Terra Nova 8
Sequoia (5-4 PAL Ocean) earned the win, with No. 1 mixed doubles Kai Nakashima and Abby Rojanasathit closing out the day with an exciting 21-17, 18-21, 25-23 victory over Jared Felipe and May Promtrai. Terra Nova (4-6) earned the win at No. 1 girls’ singles as Lauren Franco swept 21-13, 21-17.
