The Scots (6-8 PAL Bay, 14-14 overall) ended the regular season with a home win over rival Sequoia (3-11, 9-16), 25-13, 14-25, 26-24, 25-19. Carlmont ends their season on a high-note after dropping their previous five league matches.
Burlingame 3, Aragon 1
The second-place Panthers (12-2 PAL Bay, 19-5 overall) end their strong regular-season campaign with a 22-25, 26-24, 25-15, 28-26 victory over the third-place Dons (10-4, 17-12) behind 29 kills from junior Ella Duong, 17 from Morgan Toomey, and 16 from Ava Scatena. Duong and Toomey also had 25 and 27 digs, respectively.
Menlo-Atherton 3, Hillsdale 0
M-A (14-0 PAL Bay, 20-6 overall) ends their league play with a perfect record after topping the Fighting Knights (4-10, 8-17), 25-11, 25-19, 25-19. Natasha Abbaszadeh had eight kills and nine digs in the losing effort while the Bears look poised to make a deep run in the playoffs.
San Mateo 3, Half Moon Bay 1
The Bearcats (5-9 PAL Bay, 17-13 overall) defeated the Cougars (2-12, 8-17) , 24-26, 25-23, 25-11, 25-20. The win for San Mateo was their first since Oct. 5 after dropping each of the previous four league matches in sweeping fashion.
El Camino 3, South San Francisco 0
The Colts (13-1 PAL Ocean, 21-5 overall) finish tied for first in the Ocean Division after convincingly defeating the Warriors (8-20, 3-11), 25-13, 25-10, 25-10. The Colts head into the playoffs on fire having not dropped a league set since Oct.12 and winners of 10 straight league matches.
Mills 3, Capuchino 2
The Vikings (9-5 PAL Ocean, 9-18 overall) ended their season with a win at home against the Mustangs (8-6, 12-13), in a highly-contested 23-25, 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12 match. Mills finishes in third-place in the Ocean, while Capuchino finishes just behind in fourth.
Westmoor 3, Jefferson 1
The Rams (2-12 PAL Ocean, 3-24 overall) prevailed over the Grizzlies (1-13, 1-16), 25-13, 25-22, 13-25, 25-22 on Tuesday as well. For Westmoor, it ends their season on a high-note after not winning a previous match since Sept. 28, when they beat those same Grizzlies also in four sets.
Woodside 3, Terra Nova 1
The Wildcats (13-1 PAL Ocean, 17-8 overall) defeated the Tigers (8-17, 7-7), 25-21, 25-15, 25-27, 25-17 to end their regular season with a first-place split with El Camino. The Wildcats seem to be peaking at the right time as they’re winners of four straight heading into the playoffs with their last loss coming at the hands of the Colts.

Menlo School 3, Notre Dame-Belmont 0
The Knights wrapped up the WBAL Foothill Division championship with a 25-20, 25-21, 25-17 win over the Tigers.
Menlo went 7-1 in division play and is 23-11 overall with the playoffs beginning Saturday.
Sacred Heart Prep 3, Notre Dame-SJ 0
The Gators closed out the regular season with a 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 win over the Regents.
SHP (6-2 WBAL, 19-9 overall) finished second in the WBAL’s Foothill Division.
Isabelle Marco had another strong, all-around match for the Gators, finishing with 11 kills, six digs, three aces and a block. Setters Jillian Amaro and Erika Maas each had 12 assists, while Naomi Watson added six kills and three blocks.
Boys’ water polo
St. Francis 12, Menlo School 6
The Lancers eliminated the Knights from the WCAL tournament with a quarterfinal victory.
Trailing 8-5 at halftime, Menlo was shut out in the third quarter and could never recover.
Jackson Coleman and Cormac Mulloy each scored two goals for the Knights, while goalie Hunter Guyer made seven stops.
Girls’ water polo
Menlo School 15, Valley Christian 4
The third-seeded Knights advanced to the WCAL tournament semifinals with the win over the Warriors.
Kenya Cassidy had a big game for Menlo, scoring five times, assisting on two others offensively, while coming up with six steals defensively. Scarlett Gamble and Sabina Sutaria each added hat tricks for the Knights.
The Knights will take on No. 2 St. Francis in a semifinal Thursday.
