The Warriors (6-12) snapped a 10-game losing streak by putting up a 10 spot in a non-league home win over Mission-SF (2-14). South City vanquished the Bears in just five innings via mercy rule, walking off in the bottom of the fifth on a bases-loaded RBI single from junior Vince Bernal.
Sophomore right-hander Jayden Tejada dazzled to earn the first win of his varsity career, firing an abbreviated one-hit shutout. Tejada walked one and hit two batters, but struck out a career-high 10.
Senior Gio Bernal paced the Warriors with two hits, including a double and three RBIs, while sophomore Josh Ornelas added two hits and two RBI, and senior Emilio Oseguera had a double, three RBIs and three stolen bases.
Burlingame 8, St. Mary’s-Albany 0
Junior starting pitcher Bryce Cone took a no-hitter into the sixth inning en route to earning his first varsity win as the Panthers (9-6) blanked St. Mary’s-Albany (13-5) in non-league play at Washington Park.
Cone retired 15 of the first 16 batters he faced, and after a two-out walk in the second set down 10 straight. St. Mary’s junior Jed Volpe broke up the no-hitter with an infield single to lead off the sixth. Cone allowed one hit through 5 1/3 shutout innings and senior reliever Drew Gall went four up and four down to close it out.
Mark O’Grady paced Burlingame at the plate, going 2 for 2 with a double and two RBIs, and Slade Flores added two RBIs.
Sacred Heart Prep 8, Mountain View 3
The Gators (13-4) scored in five of their six at-bats to claim their eighth straight win in non-league action at home against Mountain View (4-13). Sacred Heart Prep totaled just five hits, including an RBI double by junior JP Durrett in the sixth, but Mountain View pitchers walked 10 and hit two batters. Durrett finished with three RBIs, while junior Colin Beim went 0 for 3 but totaled two RBIs. Junior left-hander Kyle Sweeney fired four shutout innings to earn the win, improving his record to 6-0 with a 0.50 ERA.
Lowell 10, Woodside 6
Woodside (10-5) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, but Lowell-SF (16-5) rallied back to tie it on a solo home run by senior Reggie Fong in the third, and took the lead on a bases-loaded walk to junior Luc Laguna later in the inning. Senior Cruz Torres paced Woodside at the plate, going 2 for 4 with a double, a home run and three RBIs, while senior Carter Ball added two hits.

Serra 9, Bellarmine 2
Senior Jack Wessell gave the Padres (2-4 WCAL, 12-6 overall) a 2-1 lead with a two-run home run in the second, and junior Aaron Minton followed with a grand slam in the fourth as Serra rolled past Bellarmine-San Jose (4-2, 14-3) at Frisella Stadium to earn a two-game series split. Freshman starting pitcher Michael Ohman allowed two runs on two hits through six innings of work, the longest outing of his varsity career, to earn the win. His record improves to 4-1 with a 1.11 ERA. Nate Hui added three hits for the Padres, and Donovan Friedland notched a single with two RBIs.
Capuchino 4, Sequoia 0
Sophomore right-hander Logan Arceo earned his first varsity win in style, firing a four-hit shutout to lead the Mustangs (1-4 PAL Bay, 11-7 overall) to their first win in PAL Bay Division play of the season. Arceo went the distance against Sequoia (3-3, 10-5), a team batting .309 on the year, by scattering four singles with two walks and two hit batsmen, while striking out five. The sophomore dueled with Sequoia starter Nolan Fausto through three shutout innings, until Cap got on the board in the fourth on an RBI groundout by senior Jordan Estrella. The Mustangs broke it open with a three-run seventh, with an RBI double by senior Dominic Fanara and a two-run double from junior Jake Wilson.
Menlo School 5, Burlingame 3
With the game tied 3-all in the fourth, Menlo senior Chuck Wynn delivered a go-ahed sacrifice fly, and senior Jack Freehill added a bases-loaded walk in the fifth to deliver Menlo (3-3 PAL Bay, 10-7 overall) to the win over Burlingame (3-2, 9-6) at Cartan Field.
Senior starting pitcher Jackson Flanagan allowed three runs through four innings to earn the win, upping his record to 4-0. Sophomore Fletcher Cahill closed it out with three shutout innings to earn his second save. Wynn logged two RBIs, while sophomore Zach Roeder paced Menlo with three hits, including a double and an RBI. Burlingame senior Liam Philibosian had a double with two RBIs.
King’s Academy 3, Hillsdale 2
Hillsdale starter Hugo Guzman and King’s Academy starter Dominic Myung traded zeroes for four innings, until Hillsdale (1-4 PAL Bay, 8-8 overall) got on the board in the fifth. After each team scored single runs in the seventh inning to force extra innings, however, first-place King’s (5-1, 11-6) jumped ahead for good in the top of the eighth on an RBI single from Myuag to win it in San Mateo. Hillsdale had a glimmer of hope in the bottom of the eighth on a two-out double by Jaden Minahan. But King’s reliever Brandon Kinoshita closed it out with an infield grounder, capping three innings of work to earn the win.
Aragon 5, Gunn 2
Xavier Ruiz singled home two runs in the first, and Saxon Lucia capped a three-run second with an RBI triple as the Dons (12-5) led wire to wire in a non-league home game against Gunn-Palo Alto (9-9). Brandon Potter was credited with the win for one shutout inning in relief of starting pitcher Kai Thornton. Thornton allowed one run on three hits through three innings. Junior Liam Harris closed it out, allowing one run on two hits through three innings to earn his first varsity save.
Aragon senior Keith Matye added two RBIs and two runs scored. Junior Sam Bogart paced Gunn with two hits, including a double and two RBIs.

Design Tech 16, North Valley Baptist 3
Design Tech (7-0 PSAL, 8-5-1 overall) banged out 13 hits, and scored five in the first and nine more in the second to cruise to the win at North Valley Baptist-Santa Clara (3-5, 3-5). Senior Logan Garrett led the way with two hits, including a double and three RBIs. Junior Reilly Sutton added two hits with an RBI and three runs scored, and also earned the win on the mound with two hitless innings, improving his record to 3-0.
With the win, the first-place Dragons maintain a one-game lead over second-place Summit Shasta in the Private School Athletic League standings.
Summit Shasta 9, Pinewood 8
Trailing 7-5 in the sixth, Summit Shasta (6-1 PSAL, 6-5 overall) rallied for four runs in its final at-bat to get back in the win column against Pinewood (1-3, 1-6) at Gellert Park. Pinewood handed the Black Bears their first league loss of the year Tuesday to earn a two-game series split. Shasta took the lead on a two-run single from GT Tapiador to make it 8-7, and Ari Umali drew a bases-loaded walk to force home a key insurance run. Pinewood scored once in the seventh, but winning pitcher Jalen Mingao escaped a two-on, two-out jam when the Black Bears recorded the final out on the base paths.

Capuchino 10, King’s Academy 7
Capuchino (3-3 PAL Bay, 6-7 overall) let a 7-0 lead slip away, but rallied back in extra innings to knock off the King’s Academy in Sunnyvale (4-4, 7-6). Junior catcher Brianna Lopiccolo came up with the clutch swing of the bat, clearing the bases with a three-run triple in the eighth. Lopiccolo enjoyed a big day, going 3 for 5 with a double, a triple and four RBIs in support of junior pitcher Lily Thomas.
Thomas entered in relief of junior starting pitcher Kiana Ngaluafe in the fourth, and went on to earn the win by allowing one run on three hits through 4 1/3 innings. It was a grueling week for the right-handed Thomas, who recorded 19 2/3 innings through three appearances over four days, including last Tuesday’s regulation perfect game in the Mustangs’ 2-0 win over Aragon.
Sequoia 18, Terra Nova 3
Sequoia senior Nisha Mehta ran her hitting streak to 30 games as the Ravens (1-2 PAL Ocean, 5-7 overall) rolled to their first league win of the year at Terra Nova (1-2, 5-6). Mehta totaled two hits with a double and four RBIs, and now leads Sequoia with a .622 batting average. She has batted safely in 12 straight games to start the season, and has totaled at least one hit in every game since March 4, 2025, of last season. Jamie Elkington added a big day, going 2 for 3 with a home run and five RBIs.
San Mateo 6, Mountain View 0
Junior slugger Alice Han went 3 for 4 with three RBIs, including an inside-the-park home run in the fifth to lead the Bearcats (11-4) to a non-league home win over Mountain View (6-12). Cecilia Hernandez and Demi Alfonso added two hits and one RBI apiece, while Hernandez fired six shutout innings in the circle to earn the win. The junior allowed four hits, two walks and a hit batsman while striking out eight. Junior reliever Anushka Singh fired a scoreless seventh to preserve the shutout.
Burlingame 11, Gunn 4
Senior Kendall Gorshen highlighted a banner day for Burlingame, as the Panthers (8-6) totaled 20 hits in a non-league win at Gunn-Palo Alto (8-5). Gorshen recorded the first four-hit game of her three-year varsity career, adding a double and three RBIs, to up her season average to .364. Senior Brooke Schuman added three hits with a double and three RBIs, junior Maddy Koo had two hits with a double and three RBIs, and sophomore Colette Uharriat went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and three stolen bases.
Mills 14, Saratoga 4
Sophomore Gina Hillman went 3 for 3 with two doubles and an RBI at the plate, and went the distance to earn the win in the circle as Mills (9-5) earned a non-league mercy-rule win at home over Saratoga (5-8). The Lady Vikings scored in each of their five at-bats. Sophomore Bailey Beauchemin and freshman Isabel Chen added two hits, with a double and two RBIs apiece.
Summit Shasta 21, Luis Valdez 1
Summit Shasta (2-1 PSAL, 3-2 overall) rallied for 13 runs in the third to finish out a shortened three-inning mercy-rule walk-off against Luis Valdez Leadership Academy-San Jose (0-3, 0-3) at Gellert Park. Senior Nani Ochoa enjoyed a perfect day at the plate for the Black Bears, going 4 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs, improving her season average to .714 (10 for 14).
Design Tech 15, Latino College Prep 0
Freshman Kendall Hom went 2 for 2 with a pair of triples and four RBIs in support of freshman Adelaide Chuang’s three-inning shutout as Design Tech (4-0 PSAL, 6-3 overall) claimed a shortened mercy-rule win over Latino College Prep-San Jose (1-2, 2-4) at the Belmont Sports Complex. Senior Ella Lewis added two hits with a double and two RBIs for the Dragons. Chuang allowed three hits against nothing wild while striking out seven.
Castilleja 16, El Camino 3
Juliana Escobar and Izzy Totah recorded the only two hits of the day for El Camino (3-6) in a five-inning mercy-rule home loss to Castilleja-Palo Alto (3-7). Senior Katherine Cheng homered for Casti, while freshman Elly An went 3 for 3 with a double, a triple and three RBIs.
