Tom was flawless through two innings of work, going six up and six down, while striking out all six batters he faced. Sophomore right-hander Josiah Hernandez added two innings of relief, striking out four while surrendering the first Summit Tahoma runner of the day on a third-inning walk to Eddie Torres-Mendoza. Sophomore left-hander Charlie Poole closed it out in the fifth, and allowed one baserunner on an infield error before notching back-to-back strikeouts to close it out.
