Skyline’s sophomore ace worked six innings, allowing one run (none earned) on four hits to back an 8-3 victory Saturday at De Anza College in the rubber match of a three-game Coast Conference North series.

With the game tied 1-1 in the sixth, sophomore Santino Nanez tallied a go-ahead RBI single. Sophomore Makai Susor made it 3-1 in the seventh with an RBI knock. De Anza cut into the lead of the Skyline bullpen in the eighth on a solo home run by Keanu Hennings. Nanez went 2 for 5 with a double and an RBI, and one stolen base. Freshman shortstop Jackson Howard added a single with two RBIs. Hennings and Logan Vieira paced De Anza with two hits apiece.
Dalton’s last time out, he allowed just one unearned run on three hits through six innings, but took a no-decision in Skyline’s 3-2 loss at Gavilan College.
Skyline dropped last Tuesday’s Coast North Conference opener 3-1 in Cupertino, then bounced back Thursday for a 6-2 home win backed by a solo home run from freshman Evan Bradshaw.
