MOUNT MAUNGANUI, New Zealand (AP) — Australia has won the toss and chosen to bowl Saturday in the third Twenty20 international against New Zealand for the Chappell-Hadlee Trophy.
The toss at Bay Oval was delayed for 15 minutes because of rain and more weather disruption is likely.
Australia already has retained the trophy after winning the first match by six wickets and after the second match was abandoned due to rain. As the holder, Australia needs only to level the series to keep the trophy for another year.
New Zealand: Tim Seifert, Devon Conway, Tim Robinson, Mark Chapman, Daryl Mitchell, Michael Bracewell (captain), Jimmy Neesham, Matt Henry, Ben Sears, Ish Sodhi, Jacob Duffy.
Australia: Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh (captain), Matt Short, Tim David, Alex Carey, Marcus Stoinis, Mitch Owen, Xavier Bartlett, Sean Abbott, Adam Zampa, Josh Hazlewood.
