King’s Academy 7, Notre Dame-Belmont 2

The Tigers trailed just 3-2 going into the seventh inning, but the Knights tacked on four runs in the top of the final inning to beat NDB in a WBAL game.

Emma Nolte led the offense for NDB (4-2 WBAL, 6-4 overall), finishing with two of the Tigers’ seven hits.

Cana Gomez drove in a pair of runs for King’s Academy (6-1, 6-2).

Baseball

Campolindo-Moraga 5, Carlmont 4

The Scots scored all four of their runs in the first inning, but the Cougars rallied for four of their in the bottom of the fifth to take the win in the Big O Tires Tournament at Livermore High School.

Logan Snow was the hard-luck loser for Carlmont (8-5 overall), his first of the season. Only one of the five runs allowed was earned, as Campolindo (5-5) capitalized on the Scots’ lone defensive error.

Mateos Melkesian paced the offense, doubling in a run in the first. Ryan Busser and Snow also drove in runs.

Crystal Springs 3, South City 2, 9 innings

The Gryphons walked-off with a non-league win over the Warriors at Sea Cloud Park.

Peter Dicioccio led off the bottom of the ninth with a walk before stealing second and third. Evan Schieber hit a slow roller to shortstop with Dicioccio beating the play at the plate.

South City led 2-0 until Crystal Springs scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to send the game to extra innings.

Boys’ lacrosse

Sacred Heart Prep 16, Sacred Heart Cathedral 3

The Gators continue to live up to their MaxPrep.com No. 1 national ranking with a win over the Irish in a WCAL match.

SHP all but put the game with 10 first-half goals. Tommy Barnds tallied five goals and assisted on six others to lead the Gators. Ben Ramsey added four and Wilson Weisel netted a hat trick for SHP as well.

Goaltender Coby Weibe finished with eight stops for the Gators.
