Mike Brown’s letter “Transit-oriented lie” in the Nov. 11 edition of the Daily Journal is a bit confusing to me. Mr. Brown seems to want to have things both ways. Unless there is another Mike Brown in Burlingame that writes letters to the Daily Journal, he is offering a contradicting statement to his previous letters.
In his current letter he states that hundreds of transit orient developments along the rail corridor with the added traffic will contribute to carbon dioxide emissions and elevated greenhouse gases. In previous letters, such as “Ending illegal immigration” in the June 3 edition of the Daily Journal, Mr. Brown has touted the virtues of Donald Trump. The same Donald Trump that has openly proclaimed that global warming, green house gases and climate change are a hoax.
If you believe that unrestricted use of fossil fuels is OK because global warming doesn’t exist, it doesn’t seem right to me that you use global warming as a reason to restrict transit oriented developments.
