I am proudly supporting Robert Bernardo for San Mateo County Harbor District Commission because these are tough times, and tough times require experience and new leadership.
I join the dozens of city, county and state elected officials who endorse him, leaders like state Sen. Leland Yee, Assembly members Jerry Hill, Fiona Ma, Ira Ruskin in addition to Rich Gordon, president of the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors.
Robert is a 35- year resident of San Mateo County, Currently, Robert works as a manager at the Port of Oakland, the fifth largest seaport in the United States, and he also serves as a the chairman of the San Francisco Planning Commission. His related work background combined with his decades of community service make him a very well-qualified candidate for the Harbor District Commission. As harbor commissioner, Robert will promote fiscal sustainability, environmental stewardship, responsible development, harbor safety and government accountability.
Robert is the "complete package,” and his background will allow him to hit the ground running. Robert will also be a powerful voice and advocate for the District. I encourage county residents to join me in supporting Robert Bernardo for San Mateo County Harbor District Commission. Thank you.
