Sports glorify war

Tillman walked away from a $3.6 million NFL contract to join the Army after the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. Previous military statements suggested he was killed April 22 under enemy fire. War is the ultimate combination of the worship of all these things, at what man considers his greatest, using the best of all of these.

Is it the athletes?No, they're about second. Is it the scholars? No they're probably about third. But the ones it builds memorials for and commemorates on special days and glamorizes as the greatest heroes of all time are its most murderous war-mongering soldiers.
