Editor,

I recently came across a quote from the actor Morgan Freeman. His words I believe to be quite profound. He says: “You’re not grown up until you know how to communicate, apologize, be truthful and accept accountability without blaming someone else.” These words should apply to all of us, but especially to some of our newly elected younger local officials.

Actually, Mr. Garbarino, don’t you think some of these newly elected younger local officials are just parroting some of the rhetoric and behavior of older “officials”? After all, every time Biden opens his mouth, you’d be hard pressed to find truth or accountability without blaming someone else. Witness Biden’s Moloch speech in which Biden exhibits all of your non-grown-up characteristics.

“You’re not grown up until you know how to communicate, apologize, be truthful and accept accountability without blaming someone else.” TY, way to illustrate that you are not grown up!

Hilarious… Westy blaming someone else in her zeal to accuse someone of blaming someone else. Boomeranging logic from Westy - what she tosses out at other people comes back on her. Westy, I’d say that if you can lead the way in learning how to communicate, apologize, be truthful, and accept accountability without blaming someone else, then others may follow. You can begin with an apology not just to me but to all our dear readers as a show of good faith. Otherwise, we’ll continue to enjoy your boomeranging antics.

Mr. Garbarino,

Thanks for passing on the quote. IMO it should be an oath that politicians must take. That would help eliminate most of the problems we have today if it was actually adhered to.
