I always enjoy the musings of reader Jorg Aadahl. Next to the comics, he's the best. His seven-point letter on Radical Republican cult credo (Letters, May 7) was one of his best in a while.

Bob: I don’t know if there is an appropriate descriptive name, but I do support any group that seeks to cultivate logic, common sense, unselfish honesty, freethought, science, peace and welfare for all, - rejecting lying, selfishness, war mongering and blind political following

Ray: Let me try to put it as gently as I possibly can: How incredibly dump do you have to be to suck up to Trump’s claim about rigged election and that he actually won by a landslide, - just because he says so, against all evidence and audits? Or, do you prefer the term “dishonest”?

As you recall... or I guess you don't... The election was held on Nov. 3, 2020, and I acknowledged Joe Biden's election to the presidency within and couple of days and BEFORE the election was called by ABC, NBC, CBS, AP, CNN and... wait for it... Fox News. I have not wavered from that acknowledgement and I have repeated it in these pages three maybe four times.

Have other readers made claims that the 2020 election was rigged against Donald Trump and that an audit of swing states will reverse the election's outcome? Short answer... yes. Long answer... heck, yes. Have I made any such claims? Nei. So, we find ourselves at the point where you would make an apology.

Now, it’s my turn…

I countered your credo with a Progressive Democrat credo. I’m sure you’ve seen it. If not, you can easily find it in the comments following your latest LTE.

You'll note the Democrat credo references events and policies affecting all Americans, today. Do you have any rebuttal to the Progressive Democrats' positions on last summer's riots, court packing, preference for teachers unions over kids, overt racism directed against those who do not agree with Progressive Democrats, false statements to the press, carving out pro-Democrat political enclaves, and the border fiasco?

Specifically, with respect to the last item… when will the Vice President hold a news conference to tell the American people what the Biden administration plans to do about the border crisis created by… wait for it… the Biden administration? It's been more than a month and half since she was appointed by the President to start fixing border problems. Is it getting better or worse the longer we wait for something to get done?

Lastly… any comment re: left wing indoctrination in our education system and the MSM assuming the role of Pravda for the Progressive Democrats?

I didn't accuse you, Ray, - so no need for a lengthy defense. I asked in general how stupid one must ne to believe Trump's Big Lie about voter fraud against him, - especially from an incurable liar like him.

Jorg... in your view, someone who supported Trump's claims re: the election is either dump [sic] or dishonest. Why are you asking me? I have made it abundantly clear that I read the totals only days after the election and concluded that Joe Biden won. Done.

Your question, posed to me and me alone, is framed in such a way that it includes me in a group of "dump" Trump supporters, however, instead of settling for "dump"... you ask if I would prefer to be known as dishonest instead.

I guess I should consider myself lucky as you didn't hurl even worse insults my way.

You know, that ostrich trick really doesn't work. You can stick your head in the sand, but my invitation to you re: rebutting the Progressive Democrat credo will still be there when you pull your head out.

One last observation... we have already seen the type of indoctrination the left wants in our schools. Where? "Back in the USSR."

If parents don't tell school administrators what they want taught, we will get skewed Progressive Democrat ideology presented in a way that discourages any perspective that does not conform to the world according to the left. It's already happening. And adults are not immune from indoctrination... the MSM's liberal bias pumps out the left's point of view on a daily basis.

Actually, Mr. Wackerman, I believe Jorg was undergoing a bit of self-reflection and couldn’t bring himself.to name the party he was describing. Fortunately, if you review the comments associated with Jorg’s LTE, Mr. Fowler and Mr. Fernandez, Jr. have stepped up to the plate and have admirably clarified what Jorg could not.

Wilfredo and I responded to Jorg's most recent diatribe with logical and fact based rebuttals. Of course, there has been no response. I'm certain there will be a couple of "drive-by" comments later today from the left side of the aisle, and they will more than likely be true to form, i.e. lacking in substance.

Your simple question to Jorg... "What cult do you belong to?" was classic. Thanks, again.

Why is anyone taking Jorg seriously? I imagine him sitting there chuckling at the comments that he knows he gets from some of us. Jorg just can't let go of the past . We should just let him rest in peace while he wallows in his cult.

Yes, Dirk... you are absolutely correct. I do enjoy the banter with some of the others on the left side of the aisle. Sometimes it's like chess and other times it's kinda like poker. But with Jorg... it's pretty much just Whac-A-Mole.

There was a time I would agree with you. However, It is my observation that Jorg's ilk can influence more people than one would think. In my opinion, the foolishness of his iterations should not go unanswered. This last election may validate my point. I suspect many unbiased people voting against Trump probably followed the same reportage as does he. But I most definitely agree Jorg is not taken seriously, by serious folks.

Dirk, I don't think anyone takes Jorg seriously. If anything, we're the ones sitting there chuckling at the poor guy. I would imagine that after a few exchanges new readers can quickly determine that Jorg (to paraphrase Dirty Harry from Sudden Impact), "is a legend in his own mind" and is unable to provide support for his specious claims. Of course, Jorg is never above tossing another personal attack in your direction to distract you from his implausible arguments.

Your use of the word, musings, to describe our mad scientist is to be complimented. 👏🏽 It aptly describes the limits of his ability to be rational. He and his sycophantic laboratory experiment, Mike O., know not of logical fallacies nor civil discourse.
