Editor,
As a resident of San Mateo County Supervisorial District 3, I want to thank my representative, Supervisor Ray Mueller for standing up for his community during Monday’s study session on the proposed tenant protection ordinance.
Supervisor Mueller was right to ask detailed and focused questions about the proposed ordinance. He helped the public better understand the various requirements buried deep in the law and made it clear he didn’t want a new law that would lead to long, drawn out, and costly legal disputes between landlords and tenants.
It’s nice to know we have someone representing District 3 who takes his time, asks the tough questions, and seeks to make sure they understand what they’re voting on before rushing to a vote.
We’re lucky to have Ray Mueller standing up for us on the Board of Supervisors.

Coming as she does from a school district role, Supervisor Corzo has things to learn about drafting, defending and accommodating changes to legislation at the County level. Challenging other Supervisors' rights to ask questions may resonate with particular advocacy groups but will not improve her standing within the Board.
We need more of him. Think of the wet noodle, woke Supervisor we have in District 2, she will vote for anything that is against the will of the majority. Thank you Mr. Mueller for being the one vote with gravitas.
