I have lived in Redwood City for close to 11 years and have volunteered and worked for Sheriff Corpus since she started to run for office. I chose to devote my time to her cause because I believed then, and believe now, that the sheriff has one of the greatest positive impacts on social justice in our county.
From before the election, it was evident that she inherited an “us vs. them” atmosphere. I don’t know all the “whys” and “hows.” I can certainly attest to the fact that in order to launch all of her initiatives in such a short time, there had to be an awareness of who would support change and who would challenge it. I witnessed the struggle to “clean up” prior unacceptable acts within the department and how that ruffled feathers.
I am proud to work with her and her entire team, including those who left the office and those who now may no longer support her publicly. I am grateful to them even if I currently disagree with them. Let us not lose sight, in the heat of this disagreement, the professional and personal sacrifices the sheriff and her entire team make on a daily basis.
Thanks for your testimonial, Mr. Dale. But there are many other folks who do not vouch for Corpus, including the folks that work for her along with multiple cities on the peninsula. Vote Yes on Measure A.
I support passage of Measure A, and at the same time, I support opponents of the March 4 referendum voicing a different POV. However, I find it extremely interesting that sheriff supporters, like George, skip over Judge Cordell's investigative report that documented chaos, corruption, and bullying by the sheriff's team. Christina promised transparency as sheriff and she has delivered... except what has been exposed is the exact opposite of the positive change she also promised.

Hi, Terence
