To the first Student News columnist, Talia Fine, and the rest of the columnists — I loved your introduction of the new Student News staff in the weekend edition of the Daily Journal. Although I’m retired, I love hearing a young person’s view of things as it is often quite different from mine. There’s a lot to be learned from your observations. And when I need help with learning the newer technologies, I always seek younger people to teach me. I learn at the library from their staff too.
I can see how you and your staff are interested in so many areas and I applaud you for going after ways to develop your careers. There’s a lot to be said for all of your ambitions and wanting to be the change you want to see. I look forward to reading your weekly columns and sharing your observations and growth over the year with the readers.
