Legislators fail once again to step up. “A parcel tax measure meant to back San Mateo County’s climate initiatives won’t appear on the November ballot after officials realized economic uncertainty was causing low polling support for the measure.” This is exactly why my grandchildren will inherit a dismal planet ... polls dictate our actions in this time for bold, proactive legislation. Sad.

Mr. Keane - the truth is that the measure would not have done much for mitigating climate change. I don't know which planet you are referring to but my grandchildren will be left a healthy place to live in without yet another meaningless political effort to fleece us. Fortunately, our voters are smart and not easily fooled.
Thanks to Biden’s America Last policies, people are suffering. For once, we can commend legislators for stepping up and listening to their constituents. But, Mr. Keane, nothing is stopping you from writing bigger checks to the government; you can earmark them for climate “crisis” issues. Set an example and others may follow.
