Editor,

I’ve just returned from a month in France to find nearly every parklet in Downtown Burlingame being dismantled. Brilliant! Kudos to the absolutely brilliant forward-looking leadership that led to this outcome.

Businesses can still have parklets but they need to now follow guidelines for structure, cleanliness and pay for the use of the space. They just can no longer build what is essentially a closed in building on the street/sidewalk. I think that is a fair improvement.

I would like to go to some places in Burlingame but I have a hard time finding a place to park.
