Editor,

As a cancer biologist and former postdoctoral fellow trained by a Nobel Laureate at the UCSF Medical Center, I found the “Don’t ‘Cell Out’ San Mateo” guest perspective by Irena Mavridis to be most compelling.

Both great articles. As one who is EMF sensitive, and studied the subject for decades, I can attest that there have been thousands of investigations, harmed people and lawsuits, worldwide for at least 50 years. It is hard to believe that our city officials have not stopped these cell tower installations long ago, instead of approving them. These towers are not only undesired, but not necessary, as explained in the LTE's.

Why should city residents have to pay legal fees to fight the city that we live in, and voted for its officials whose decisions harm us? Outrageous!

Is the city just kicking the can down the road, like they did on the storm water issue, thereby causing people being harmed, massive expense and lawsuits and the taxpayers having to bail out the city.? The lawsuits will come, guaranteed! If this is not stopped!

"Wisdom is knowing what to do next, skill is knowing how to do it. Virtue is doing it." Thomas Jefferson

We ask that any towers previously approved be rescinded and any future installations be stopped.
