Thought on Senate judicial hearing on Brett Kavanaugh: Democrats piously whining they want more documents when every Democrat senator on that committee has made it crystal clear even before the hearing began, that they would unequivocally vote against him.

Democrats are grandstanding. There is absolutely nothing they can do about the confirmation of judge Kavanaugh and they know it. In the words of president Obama, elections have consequences. Supreme Court picks were a major factor in the 2016 presidential election and president Trump won. We got two judges and possible a third once RBG goes. Booker and Harris are showing how clueless and out of touch the Democratic leadership has become. Embarrassing that Harris is from our state.
However CC - do not forget that Trumps innermost republicans have turned on him. It appears now that the man who did the story was VP Pence. Trumps house will soon crumble beyond repair. #GoPadres

Scott and Pamela: With all due respect, this isn't how it works. Even though the majority of the population are against Kavanaugh for a position they feel he is too religiously bigoted to fit, clear evidence is required, like documents exposing his writing. A whole bunch was delivered too late for review before the hearings, too many withheld. That alone is suspicious, so people have a reason for wondering what he may be hiding. There is also a valid concern that he may be colluding with Trump to get him out of all the trouble he got himself into.
