A few weeks ago, the Daily Journal was gracious enough to allow my letter to the editor to be printed. It intended to cover the comparison of the deeds by Jesus Christ and Trump and why they were then either crucified or almost murdered. I need again to emphasize that the intent was to focus on deeds and the resulting execution and leftist condemnation. Sorry to say, most reactions appear more of a reflection of the shallowness of those readers, as in: “how dare you comparing Jesus Christ with Trump?” Indeed, when one follows the life stories of certainly acknowledged pillars of our culture, Ghandi, King and even FDR, one finds that these individuals were far from perfect. They committed adultery, were racists and dumped prior supporters. That does not take away from their significant and everlasting accomplishments. Then why would these shallow responders blast Trump? Can’t they at least acknowledge what he has accomplished and what he will do again if/when he is reelected?
A San Mateo reader in the San Francisco Chronicle even likened the recent assassination attempt on Trump by comparing those similar attempts on Hitler. How far do we need to sink to compare those two individuals? The editor of the DJ, and I believe most other responsible influencers, have urged all of us to tone down the vitriol and let us please have fair elections. Thank you!
Thanks for your letter, Mr. van Ulden, but when Biden/Harris has no accomplishments to speak of, what do you expect Dems to do? All they have is their hysterical screeching and as such, vitriol is just another day of the usual, as we can see after many Dems didn’t skip a beat after the Trump assassination attempt. If Dems keep opening the door, everyone will keep walking through it. Expect the vitriol to get worse and the opposition to attempt to rewrite the histories of cackling Kamala and weird Walz. Fortunately for everyone, the Internet is forever.

After July 13’s failed assassination attempt on Donald Trump, everybody was talking about God.
“It was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening,” Mr. Trump wrote on his social media website.
This statement is obviously true. Many people acknowledged it. God protected President Trump. That was a miracle. This is proof of God’s hand. Such statements were heard regularly from many politicians and media outlets, as well as the public.
The factors that enabled Mr. Trump to still be alive today are too dramatic to dismiss as coincidence. He is alive because of an unscripted moment displaying a chart he had to turn to look at. He is alive because a gust of wind shifted that bullet left about one inch. He is alive because he cocked his head at the perfect angle at the perfect moment. Do you see God in these details?
Give Trump another chance (to serve our Nation). God did.
I'm glad you referenced God as the "Almighty" The only thing Jorg sees is what Jorg can twist to promote is simple minded thought process or lack there of. Jorg has dug in his heals and regardless of the facts presented regarding God or Trump, Jorg will dig in deeper and then make fun of others who disagree with his mindless narrative. There are far too many Jorgs who are too proud to realize they are wrong but would rather die and live in misery for an eternity than accept the simple facts that are presented that prove the existence of God

Re: Trump's accomplishments, I posted the following partial list: During Trump’s presidency… the border was more secure, peace talks between Israel and Arab nations moved forward, the Iran nuclear deal scuttled, farm subsidies increased, USMCA trade agreement created, energy dependence lessened, Space Force established, defense strategy focused on Russian and Chinese threats, US embassy moved to Jerusalem, ISIS threat reduced, no US troops committed to new military conflicts, funding increased for HBCUs, First Step Act passed, appointed five openly gay ambassadors and encouraged an initiative to decriminalize homosexuality across the globe, increased funding for school choice, expanded apprenticeship programs, secured billions to fight the opioid epidemic.
When It comes the Joe, who claims to be the most progressive president in our history, we have had the progressive wing of the Democratic Party controlling the White House. It is the party of racism… a cult claiming systemic racism is everywhere except, of course, in its own ranks. The progressives in charge are also the party of control seeking to overregulate Americans into a state of dependence. Those same progressives want us to believe a Republican administration would be fascist yet the progressives’ campaign to control freedom of expression and to squelch discourse is exactly the tyrannical intolerance the progressives claim they abhor. When it comes to lying to the American people, no one has perpetuated a greater lie than the progressives. Up to a few weeks ago, they propped up Joe as their 2024 nominee… a candidate they knew was without the mental and physical abilities to serve as chief executive, however, they claimed he was the best person to do so. They have selected a new nominee in a most undemocratic fashion. Kinda ironic for a party with the word “Democratic” in its name. Now they are trying to reduce the 2024 election to a choice of democracy over fascism. It’s just blatant fear mongering. Maybe they should try building bridges instead of Walz.
