Editor,

Regarding Hunter Biden, less than 0.09% of people are charged, prosecuted and found guilty of lying on a gun form. In other words, had his name been Hunter Smith the odds he’d be charged were nonexistent. Similarly, his IRS payments and fines were resolved, and, thus, will virtually never result in further legal action. To claim this is anything but a political attack on the Biden family is simply absurd.

Sorry Irv - it was Biden who repeatedly stated that he would not pardon his son. And he did it anyway. Who is the liar here? And, FYI, Hunter never paid neither the taxes, nor the fines that he owed. Remember, nobody is above the law? Everybody must pay his or her fair share? Two wrongs do not make one right. Hanging on by your finger nails, aren't you?

Rel

Biden, in changing with the political times, pardoned his son. It does make him a liar. However, does it not appear unseemly at best, hypocritical at worst, to scourge Biden for this lie when Trump has made lying an art form?

Dirk van Ulden

Come on Rel - we all knew about Trump's behavior but Biden's character was kept under the radar. What he did is a big, fat lie, no matter how you slice it.

Dirk van Ulden

Now the truth is surfacing. Biden was counting on Kamala winning and then have her pardon Hunter. That is the political change that the soon to be let go Press Secretary alluded to. BTW, how were the pancakes?

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Brenner, but shouldn’t Biden also pardon Trump. You know, because of the lawfare Dems perpetrated against our (yes, our) great President Trump. As always, Biden is not only a liar, but a treasonous liar. I wonder if Trump can rescind Biden’s pardons. Maybe take the actions to do so to force Hunter to hire high priced lawyer. Or maybe Trump should just go after Biden and Biden’s associates. I’m sure at least one will roll over and give up the “big guy.”

Good morning, Irv

Joe pardoned his son, Hunter, who had been convicted of the crimes mentioned in your LTE. It looks like Joe is considering pardons for A. Fauci, A. Schiff, L. Cheney, and M. Milley. What crimes did they commit?

Rel

Ray, they don't have to have committed crimes. Biden, or any president, can pre-emptively pardon anyone. In this case, since Trump has promised retribution against the people you named, Biden is heading him off at the pass.

Ray Fowler

Hey, Rel

You're correct about a pardon being pre-emptive. The question still remains... why would Joe need to pardon Fauci, Schiff, Cheney or Milley at all? In other words, why is a pre-emptive pardon even necessary? What criminal prosecution would Joe be trying to protect them against?

We agree... Trump may be gesticulating about retribution, but even as president, he would not be able to "lock them up!" without indictments, hearings, and trials... all the stuff Trump knows a lot about. If you think there is a possibility that Fauci, Schiff, Cheney and Milley may be exposed to prosecution... why wouldn't we want the judicial process to play out? Maybe Joe just doesn't want them exposed to the same type of lawfare that his administration aimed at Trump. Would that make them above the law?

How were those pancakes?

Rel

Ray, Dirk, the pancakes were eaten today at noon. They were delicious! Enjoyed seeing you over lunch! Now if those libtards would just allow me to bring my AR-15s to lunch with me....

Not So Common

Rel, I think you lie more than anyone. Trump has said his retribution is to MAGA, not to falsely and or retributively attack his political enemies like Biden's administration has done. Unfortunately it appears you believe the garbage rhetoric from the tabloids you read and listen to.

BTW, there is ZERO reason to pardon someone who has not committed a crime. But by pardoning drug addict Hunter, it does show that Joe knows his sex addict son Hunter has committed crimes. If Joe Bribe-em pardons others the same way, it will mean Joe knows Fauci, Schiff etc.. have committed crimes as well. Trump's administration chose to let Hillary off the hook and he did not attack his enemies while in the White House. Consequently, when these facts and common sense reasons are presented, it proves your integrity is nil.

Rel

So, NSC, what have I said previously about personal attacks? You can make your points without being insulting. If not, I will do what I can to have you barred from these commentaries.

To your point, there are plenty of reasons to pre-emptively use the power of a pardon for whomever chosen. One obvious one is to spare the innocent from needless legal costs. A second one is to protect the immediate family members from harassment.

Terence Y

Rel, please explain why you feel NSC launching a personal attack - it sounds more like the truth. After all, you continually lie about a debunked insurrection, more than anyone. You continually repeat debunked fake news and lies and thus your integrity is rightly questioned. Instead of empty threats attempting to cancel those you think are attacking you, perhaps you should start making points based on facts and common sense instead of believing, as NSC, writes, “garbage rhetoric from the tabloids you read and listen to.” Have a blessed day! BTW, there’s an article today about weighted blankets. You may want to consider one to help relax and soothe your worries of the day and perhaps calm your fight-or-flight responses.

Tell it to all the families who had a family member murdered by a drug addict. And tell to the 495 people doing 4-6 years time for tax evasion.
