Regarding Sue Lempert’s comment in her Nov. 4 column about if a homeowner is flying the American flag then you immediately think he is for Trump.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Thorpe. I agree with your assessment of the American flag and its meaning, as do many, save for a few Americans. Perhaps in a future column, Ms. Lempert can regale us with her thoughts on what the American flag means to her. Or maybe that’s all the American flag is to her – a sign of who the homeowner is voting for. At least Ms. Lempert associates Trump with patriotism and American values?

Kevin you're spot on, but it is the democrat mantra. Unfortunately the Democrat party has to have enemies and division, because they would have few good ideas to support and run on. Stay proud.

NSC, says the Republic party who ran on fear and division. Please note both Biden and Harris ceded the election with grace and dignity. There will be no repeat of 1/6. Hmmm, I wonder if DJT will dispute the rigged and unfair election. I'll wait....

This is hilarious… we’ve seen articles on state and local “resistance” to Trump and now we have our very own individual “resistance” in Rel. Hey Rel, let me know if you need more burn cream and I’ll have Amazon drop ship a few more tubes (or gallons?) for you. Meanwhile, are you sure there won’t be a repeat of 1/6? We know that Pelosi isn’t in office to leave the Capitol unprotected so maybe the chances are lessened? We can wait… But we don't have to wait for four more years under our great(er) President Trump!

Yes, calling Trump voters Nazis and Facists is gracious compared to the actions taken by Trump supporters on January 6, 2021 Coup Attempt and Trump's failure to do everything he could to stop them. Any vote for Trump this year constitutes support for Trump's handling of January 6 and support for those insurrectionists.

There was no coup attempt on January 6. No matter how many out-of-control rioters knocked down barricades, and no matter how many out-of-control rioters pushed past uniformed officers and forced their way into government spaces... there was no coup attempt. Nearly 1,000 of those rioters have been indicted but none for insurrection, and you and I can agree those rioters who vandalized, assaulted and trespassed should be held acceptable.

You wrote, "Any vote for Trump this year constitutes support for Trump's handling of January 6 and support for those insurrectionists." No, it doesn't. Those voters, 74.7 million strong, rejected a candidate who when asked if she would have done anything differently than the incumbent replied, "Nothing comes to mind." Those 74.7 million votes were not an endorsement of the Jan. 6 rioters.

To quote another Ralph, “What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you.” Your self-generated outrage based on fake news and lies is noted but quickly dismissed by the, as Mr. Fowler noted, 74.7 million people across the country and around 40% of Californians who are now, according to you, Nazis and Facists (although I think you mean Fascists but you may have a made-up definition for a Facist). I’d recommend you check voter demographics because it is highly likely that among your family and friends are Nazis and Facists. I wonder what they think of your beliefs.

BTW, would a Fascist, or Facist, take policy and nominee advice from citizens? I hear there’s a movement afoot for average folks to discuss policy (https://www.policiesforpeople.com/) and nominate folks for the 4,000+ appointments (https://www.mahanow.org/nominees-for-the-people) in the Trump administration. After you get over your misplaced outrage, please help to Make America Great Again. We’re still all in this together, aren’t we? Or do you prefer increasing division rather than unity? Fear and division? You’re the typical liberal who actually blames the other side for what you and your party is actually doing. Democrats freak out when someone has a different opinion or they are called out. i.e. when Elon Musk saw the truth after buying Twitter, he decided to join the side that wasn’t about censoring, and hate. All that did was sic the deranged nuts from the left on Elon.

Rel - we don't know yet. Harris is assigned the duty to verify/validate the election results. Based on her unhinged character she may cause another riot on January 5, 2025. And Lord knows what Biden will do or say.
