The last three American administrations are ample proof that talking cannot solve the issue of our trade imbalance with China or their strong arm tactics when it comes to our companies’ technology and our intellectual property, and yet corporate myrmidons still appear on talking shows and advise talking instead of trade tariffs. Otherwise put, just continue to allow our corporations to give away to the Chinese the national patrimony of the American people in exchange for the right to participate in the Chinese economy and reap huge profits, while the American worker is fooled with talking.
The last three American administrations have awarded multiple huge projects to our defense contractors for sophisticated electronic surveillance systems at the Mexico border and they all have failed miserably; the damning reports of the inspector general office are there for all to see. In the name of what means other than a wall is then Nancy refusing to fund Trump’s wall? Why is our servile media not asking her to enlighten us with concrete references to a specific success story or study that would bear out her assertion that a wall does not work while her vague other means do?
Talking, diplomacy, negotiating without first establishing effective leverage has always been an exercise in assuaging a voting constituency undertaken by those who intend to do nothing real about the issue at hand. If a majority of us truly prefer Democrats’ empty talk to real solutions, then woe to us.
