The 40 protesters are welcome to adopt each three or four geese. YOU can enjoy them in your own garden or home.
Suggestion: Have lots of green grass and be prepared to clean up lots of green poop. If you have children they will love to play and chat with the geese as long as you do not mind infection and bacteria. And if the geese get more geese, open up a farm and enjoy them. Just make sure they stay with you and out of the Foster City parks, lagoons, beaches and private property. YOU will get lots of thanks!
Love to see it happen. Put the geese on a leash, walk them and clean up their poop just like dog owners do. Hey, I like "geese on a leash." Make a good bumper sticker.
Well written, Ms. Thiel. An article published earlier this week interviewed a Mr. Allen, who said their group offered time, money and resources. Perhaps this group missed the call from some Foster City official months, or maybe even a year, ago looking for volunteers for pooper scooper duty. Perhaps if these 40 protesters started now, they can show that pooper scooping can make a difference and potentially save some of the geese from the dinner plate. Either that or I’d recommend FC add a zero to the depredation permit to include up to 1000 geese.
