Regarding James Mark Constantino’s “Fear and loathing on the campaign trail” in the Jan. 25 Daily Journal, Mr. Constantino shared his excitement at the prospect of Trump’s challenging the portion of the 14th Amendment that grants citizenship to “all persons born or naturalized in the United States.” He states that this is Trump’s “crystal clear” intention to “remove the motivation for migrants to come to this country.”
He also states that he likes a politician who is “earnest and straightforward” compared to Gov. Newsom, whom he calls a “cool, slick, liar, a typical Democrat.”
Seriously? Donald Trump lied more than 30,000 times during his first term in office. Many Republican congressional representatives recently stated that they’ve never seen any footage of the Jan. 6 attack so they cannot comment on releasing the 1,500 insurrectionists.
So how is lying typical of Democrats exactly?
Perhaps Mr. Constantino should take a look at the part of the 14th Amendment that states “No person shall be ... President, or hold any office … having previously taken an oath as an officer of the United States … to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof.”
Trump fomented the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, and has now released approximately 1,500 insurrectionists who took part in that attack, which is in violation of the 14th Amendment.
I do not understand why or how he has now been given the chance to resume his destructive agenda of “making American great again” while actually doing everything he can to do just the opposite.

I don't agree with Trump letting anyone go the injured a police officer. You ask why anyone could voter for Trump but you need only look at the Democrats social planning which most voters rejected.
