I certainly appreciate Sue Lempert’s enthusiasm for Caltrain (“Wish list for transportation” Aug. 14) but I believe Caltrain currently has about 59,000 systemwide boardings per weekday (not 80,000). And according to the Caltrain modernization and electrification Final Environmental Impact Report, 12,100 is the expected growth in number of new boardings for all three counties. That would be closer to a 20 percent growth (not 80 percent). I agree that Caltrain is important. Perhaps they will verify these numbers and I would stand to be corrected.
