Columnist Keith Kreitman giddily embraces the narrative invented around 1967 by Yasser Arafat, an Egyptian, that created the "Palestinian people” ("Where do we go from here?” in the April 3 edition of the Daily Journal). Prior to 1967, there is no historical or archeological record of such a "people” because they never existed. Kreitman nonetheless ignores the Jewish presence and connection to Israel for millennia that can be archeologically proven.
Kreitman pompously chastises Israel for building housing today to accommodate her citizens in her capital Jerusalem, implying this will threaten the one sided "peace process” which consistently reflects "Israel gives, the Arabs attack.” He dismisses Israel’s life-enhancing achievements from which he benefits as well because, Israel’s achievements and laws (technology, respect for women’s rights, gay rights, and democracy for all her citizens) underscore that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that values life and democracy.
Israel realizes she can no longer depend on the United States, led by a president who bows and panders to Israel’s enemies and Congressmen/women who abstain from speaking out against blood libel reports such as Goldstone. Israel realizes that mainstream media experts and amateurs like Keith Kreitman will revise history to Israel’s detriment to perpetuate their politically correct mantra.
