Is the Gavin Newsom boomlet for president — or whatever it was — really over?

Over the weekend, Politico columnist Jonathan Martin reported that on election night, he overheard Newsom personally telling President Joe Biden — who had called to congratulate the governor on his reelection — that he wouldn’t run for president even if Biden bowed out.

California’s green energy policies are dysfunctional and hypocritical. Relying on batteries to store utility scale power would cost trillions and roof top solar with battery backup is too costly for 90% of home owners. Meanwhile California ignores using solar and wind to produce hydrogen for use in existing natural gas plants in place of natural gas. Hydrogen has no CO2 emissions and can be inexpensively stored for future use. Perhaps this is overlooked because it’d also eliminate a major source of political fund raising.
