Patricia Willey Traylor, born in Fulton, Kentucky, Dec. 28, 1930, died March 17, 2018, after a short illness at her home in San Mateo, surrounded by family, friends and much love.
“She was a bright light to everyone who met her during her 87 years — a devoted wife, wonderful mother, amazing grandmother, talented teacher and mentor in the San Mateo school district for many years.”
Pat was a faithful and committed pillar of St. John’s Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Helen and Earnest Willey, and her siblings Ruth, Paul and Mary Jo. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, the Rev. Champ Traylor whom she met at Trevecca College; her son Mark; his children Carlie, Hailie and Zachary; their mother Penny and her daughter Vicki, son-in-law Ted; daughter Jesica and her niece Paula Bondurant.
Family and friends are invited to attend a 10 a.m. memorial service Saturday, April 21, at St. John’s Church 480 San Anselmo Ave. North in San Bruno. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of the Highlands in Millbrae.
