Lena Furiosi passed away quietly in Fremont, CA on Thursday, November 11, 2004. Devoted wife to the late Eugene Furiosi, beloved mother of Larry and his wife Samar, Susan and her husband Dan and Terry and her husband George. Adored grandmother to Noah, Gina, John, Jeff and Catherine. She was born on January 28, 1924 in Weed, CA, grew up in North Beach, San Francisco and moved to Millbrae in 1958 where she raised her family and resided for over 40 years. She worked for the Millbrae school district for over 25 years, dedicating her career to cooperation and support for coworkers, staff and children alike.
Lena is also survived by her dear sister and sister-in-law, nieces, nephews and friends, all who meant so much to her. She was good, kind, strong and an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
Friends and family are invited to a vigil service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive at El Camino Real in Millbrae. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at St. Dunstan's Church, 1133 Broadway, followed by burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma.
