Jeanne C. French, a longtime resident of San Bruno, died Oct. 16 at the Davies Campus of California Pacific Medical Center.
She was 90 years old.
French was born in Detroit, Mich., and came to San Francisco in 1950 with her husband, Lt. Cmdr. Thomas L. French. They settled in San Bruno in 1952, where Jeanne lived until recently.
Jeanne was active in many community activities throughout her more than 50 years on the Peninsula. She was best known for her 25 years of service with the San Bruno 4-H Club and her involvement with the First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame. Jeanne also worked for many years at the Sales Mart Building in San Francisco. Jeanne is preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by her two daughters, Barbara J. French of Mill Valley and Elizabeth A. French of Santa Barbara, her grandson, Nicolas J. French of Mill Valley, and her granddaughter, Skyler L. French of Mill Valley. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 10 at First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame, 1500 Easton Drive in Burlingame.

Lawrence David Lucero
Lawrence David Lucero, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and teacher lost his battle with cancer Wednesday, Oct. 31 at 9 a.m.
He fought bravely and with great dignity to the end, according to his family. "Larry” is survived by his wife of 39 years, Fern Lucero, daughter Laurie Lucero-Ogg, son John David Lucero, daughter Ann Marie Lucero, a large loving extended family and many caring friends.
Originally from Colorado, Lawrence graduated from Adams State College in Alamosa and has been a California resident since 1966. He taught in the San Bruno Park School District for 36 years, most of those at Parkside Middle School where he was a respected teacher and a much loved part of the faculty. He served in the Navy after he graduated from high school and has traveled the world extensively with family and friends.
He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his kindness, love of family and infinite generosity of the heart.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. at St. Roberts Catholic Church.
